Crow, a Poem.

http://www.chris-carter-art.com/

Balancing between the place between

Staying in her realm of comfort

And falling on her face

Again

This girl is tired of her joyful expressions

Looking a mess

Still.

Stillness

comes with breath.

The child reminds the woman

that to play

is to honor the very nature of Life.

And so

She connects to her center

Filling her cells with inhalation

With exhalation

With drishti

She waits for the moment

Waits for what would once be considered a miracle

And now feels more like simple play

A toe lifts

And then another

Her evolution is happening right now,

right here

And so she flies.

‘Crow’ is the fourth in a series of poems written in the name of, and dedicated to the practice of yoga. Please read the others in the series, Surya Namaskar, Harmonium, and Warrior.
