Morning Glory

I grow where I am scattered.

I thrive though I am shattered.

Not because I have the deepest roots or the most showy leaves or the most beautiful blooms, but because my creator made me strong.

You can snuff me out, you can pull me out, but by the time I come to bother you, I’ve scattered my seeds of influence.

You cannot get rid of me easily, my friend.

I will reach into every crevice and stem and vertical structure, and I will climb.

Even if I have to stretch myself to near death, I will find a place close to the sun that gives me life and I will bloom.

And here is the thing:

Even if you perceive me as invasive, even if you cannot handle the immense growth of my bloom, even if you feel threatened by the abundance, you will still find me beautiful.
