Manifesting, Children, Seeing the Reality of Abraham-Hicks and Rebellion: 11 Tips to Easy Lucid Dreaming and Feeling Comfortable in Your Future Skin.

If you get so frustrated with your current reality, or your ability to manifest, you might wander over to Abraham-Hicks for a bit of R&R. Reality is what we manifested in the past.

The future is where we need to put ourselves.

The present is a multi-dimensional universe filled with infinite potential.

This concept is so Aquarian. We build, using technology, in community, for the future.

Prometheus comes to mind when thinking of the upcoming Aquarian age. Uf, some astrologers say it’s here already.

The Mayan and Toltec calendar observers say it’s here, it’s not yet here.

Certainly the Pandemic has made us all feel as though we are in a new age.

I’m a HSP, a highly sensitive person. I have trouble falling asleep. I’m good with kids. (I’m just as sensitive as they are.)

I’m empathetic to degrees of stifling addiction. And when in nature, I have the wondrous, gracious ability to pull in fifty shades of green, bird song, and oxygenated air to the point of personal spiritual ecstasy.

This nature bug pushed me to pursue a life of shamanism much to the discontent of my family. Surprisingly, shamanism isn’t a big money maker.

Especially if your ancestors were colonized and the healing arts within your particular bloodline used their hands to make cotton.

Those thick wrinkled brown hands were put to the production of picking cotton in the deep south, rather than healing bodies.

No self respecting shaman wants you to feel sorry for her. Sympathy breeds karma. No thank you.

My purpose, my energetic imprint and talent have more to do with children than adults. I’m intellectual so I would prefer adults.

I’m humble enough to accept experience over casual desire. And the children are lovely. I’m a preschool teacher savant.

My study and practice of shamanism has led me to believe that the essence of shamanism is about expanding our perception, ecstasy and healing the body.

We are in an economic crisis. The gap between the rich and the poor has never been greater. Why care about expanding our perception?

Allow my experience to speak, both from an economic and shamanic perspective.

Because of my intellectualism and refusal to embrace my purpose with children, I worked many political seasons as an organizer.

I trained people, gave them jobs, got people to vote, door-knocked and made random phone calls.

I can tell you that powerful people care much more about what you think than you realize.

That’s why the media is so powerful. It affects popular opinion.

The popular opinion is us.

No one tells us. It’s like self love. No one tells you, actually what you believe is the most powerful tool in the tool shed.

An idea so radical, we don’t actually believe our beliefs could affect elected officials, governors, heads of state, governors and billionaires.

Reminiscent of Abraham-Hicks, the idea that our beliefs shape reality. Not just Abraham-Hicks. In Mexico people still get persecuted for practicing “witchcraft” and the shamanic art of dreaming.

How do we shape our reality?

A shamanic point of view would be through our perception.

How do we shape our perception?

Ask yourself the question, what do your eyes do at night?

They blur. They move quickly as we fall into dream time.

If you are one of us, the many that suffer from insomnia, you may be very aware of the feeling of falling asleep, then waking up, only to find your mind made some excuse to keep you in the conscious state.

You may never be aware of this falling asleep state consciously.

Being unconscious as we fall asleep is the norm.

Lucid dreaming is the act of becoming conscious prior to sleep.

A Toltec lucid dreaming practice I can teach you right now is easy.

  1. Sit down to meditate.
  2. Focus on your breathing.
  3. Count your inhale.
  4. Count your exhale.
  5. Open your eyes very, very slowly.
  6. Focus on your peripheral vision.
  7. Blur your regular vision. What colors and shapes do you see?
  8. Begin to construct reality from the periphery of your vision.
  9. See your future self. What does she look like? What is her expression? What is her posture? What is she wearing? What is her hair like? What words does she use?
  10. Hold on to this image of your future self.
  11. As you fall asleep, dream yourself as this best self.

A word of love and caution. Don’t be too hard on yourself. As the yogic saying goes, “Intention goes where attention flows.”

We, like our writing or the art we create, are a work in progress. Our current reality is filled with petty tyrants. Allowing our inner world to be as nurturing and magnificent as possible is the true rebellion.
