waitressing is not beneath me

doing bullshit jobs

that may be mindless

but pay well

is not beneath me

you know what is beneath me?

living a life I hate

just so i can sit here 

at this gathering of the egos 

and convince you

of how what i do everyday from 9-5

defines my maturity

want to know what i think?

of course you do

or you’d unfollow

I think

that money is a children’s game

if we were really enlightened

like we all pretend to be

we’d be over our first chakra and onto the last

money would be a means to an end

but definitely not the finish

I think that getting over yourself

and everything you’re “supposed to do”

is the highest level

of self-respect
