Exposing Vulnerabilities – A Conscious Decision.

We are often fearful of communicating our inner turmoil and invisible burdens to the outside world because when we speak, our words cannot be taken back. Often as a consequence, boundaries are smeared, words distorted and misunderstood, and stigma is commonly attached. Why are so many of us hung up about what people think of us and why should exposing our vulnerabilities and our innermost truths be a taboo subject to the masses?

Why when we have an opportunity to be authentic, speak freely and honestly about how we feel, does the fear of separation and rejection from others make our thoughts more complex, cruel and unforgiving?

Should we not seek to support, inspire and motivate others, for everyone we meet is fighting a battle that we know nothing about?

A kind word, an uplifting mantra can change someone’s day, make their burdens more sufferable and re-open their eyes to what is possible and what is good. To help one person might not change the world, but it could change the world for that person.

Be mindful. Be kind. Be aware. Be supportive.

If we made a conscious decision to strive to encourage solidarity and understanding of ourselves and others, this will lead to the creation of a neutral consciousness and acceptance. No longer separated from ourselves and others, will allow us to reconnect to what matters. Mindfulness amongst those with shared experiences, relatable fears and anxieties allows for greater control of our emotions and facilitates us to re-focus our minds and speak freely, openly and honestly.

With the presence of love, we will outcast fear and send it back to where it belongs. It is time to value who we are and what we’re here for. Our energy creates our reality and what we focus on is what will manifest. So, be creative and trust that you are being guided. Be fearless and free and always acknowledge and honour what you feel. Know that you have much to be thankful for – be true to who you are.

Hi Patty, thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. I truly am very humbled that you have not only taken the time to read my article, but have commented on it also. It means more than you could possibly imagine.

I do not profess to be a writer, I am learning and this is only my third article. Eeeek!

Please feel free but not obliged to visit my blog ‘The one behind the Worry’ which is only 2 weeks old! lol (link below) where you will find my first article, ‘Realisation. The First Step’ and my second article ‘Anxiety on the Battlefield’, if you fancy a read. Both took great courage and strength to write especially about things that are raw and personal.

My words are my own and my blog has only been live for two weeks now and I am so very humbled by the many messages I have received, yours included. I hope to provide others with inspiration and direction by uplifting through intuitive word, self-reflection and more importantly shared experiences. Solidarity is key.

    Thank you for your kindness.
