flowers into words
no matter what flowers I try to
put into words
no combination of them can
describe what this is
who is the master who moves the eyes
there is no answer to “who?” “what?” or “why?”
you will not find an entity named “I”
before you hang a hundred thousand veils of
• light & darkness •
soul and reason
do not comprehend
these two eyes are blind.
& like the rose
all of life is beauty and decay
and there are thorns to protect the blossom
do you think just anyone makes it
between her petals?
flowers rely on bees to reproduce
& so have adapted, over time, to become
more attractive
• pollen & nectar •
open or flat; tubular
scent of a particular appeal
your bright colors
lure white light in
