April 29, 2018,
a poem for my Goddess:
I Forgive. I Love. I Grow.
For allowing me to feel like an unwanted, unloved, and abandoned boy
I forgive you
For the times I played an empty, affection-starved womanizer
I forgive me
For laughing when I’d fallen, tears streaming down my face, and telling me to, “Grow up”
I forgive you
For being intolerant of and cruel to bullies who treated other children the same
I forgive me
For popping my mouth and washing it out with soap after I repeated your words
I forgive you
For all the horrible, fucking shitastic things that have come out of my mouth ever since
I forgive me
For all the times you told me I wasn’t man enough
I forgive you
For all the times I wasn’t man enough
I forgive me
For loving me
I love you
And now
At long last
I let go and I grow
