Melodies trapped in your gaze

Music muse

Rhythms send you astray

Little toy soldier

Sings along with the band

Alone no composure

Mistakes the lyrics for words

Lost lamb

Humming the chords

Chasing another’s dream

Scarecrow

Unravel your seams

Idolizing what you can’t comprehend

Roar like a lions

An empty chest like tin men

Surviving on snippets

Swaying puppet

Blind Alice after tea and crumpets

Journey to enlightenment

blinded pride

Masquerading false sentiment

Roads faded and worn

Chasing your tail

Forgetful squirrel

Pondering notes repeating words

A piano with no keys

Posing pretentiously lacking allure

Bewildered and scattered

Stagnant and lost

Following faint song bird chatter

Awakened suddenly

Words become lyrics

Ego kept you blind

Music is feeling

Note, chord, and every line

Passion and pain

She was your song, your lyrics, your cords

Made every note dance without a word

Revealing feeling chased for eternity

The show lights dim

Redness and salt fill your rims

Without the feeling

Lyrics return to words

Agony pounds in your chest

Big brown eyes full of adore

Harmonious melody

Your shameful scorns

Resentful of her interruption

Egocentric invulnerability

Scoffed at her simple construction

Great wide world

For you to see

Worm on a hook, you thought

Captivity is not for me

Digesting those words

Starring at the sky

Buckling on all fours

Begging to take back

Hurt you adorned

Breathless sobs

Music muse with no voice

Eyes that held every lyric

Never in words

Her song awakened your spirit

Devastated you never paused to hear it

Alice, Tin Man, scarecrows and lions

You always needed more

Greed, Ego, false Zion

Searching, and circling

Every corner seeking

She was always there in every tune

broken hearted

Wishing on the same moon.
