Constant is the battle between

The heart and the mind

While the soul quietly ponders

Way out there on the side lines

The mind so clever always,

His game plan in hand

Sets out to defeat & outwit his fellow man

While the heart passionately beats as it gets ready

Full of love and compassion, to defend with a hand slow and steady

Through it all the soul sits back

And sighs…

Cause the soul knows, oh the things the soul knows….

For the soul, you see

Has lived many centuries

Seen love vs hate

Between darkness and light

War vs peace

A matter of fight or flight

The soul knows that it’s in our life’s lessons

That our victories can truly be had

It’s not about who conquers the conflict Of good versus bad

It’s what we take to heart from life’s toughest tests

To realize indifference and polarities

Are what makes us ALL truly the SAME, at best ☯
