Poem about a lost bar

Ode to the Cimmaron Club

All that came, came to wait on the answer.
or to just wait
and drink
Now you are gone
Erased, Razed
and only an empty lot remains

When I couldn’t get enough you were the answer
When all else failed
or didn’t fail
If I needed to have the night keep on coming
you were the answer

After a certain point no one takes time to judge you
It just goes on

If the lights got turned off too early
suddenly found myself alone in the parking lot
ears ringing, facing something I wasn’t yet ready for
The cimmaron club was always there.

That is what you need to keep it going.

Where will I go when the night is long
Where will I wait, and drink when all the others have
closed.. me.. down

After a certain point no one takes time to judge you
It just goes on

That is what you need to keep it going.
There is comfort in knowing that answer is there
if you need it
Like a hidden 100-dollar bill in your wallet

Were will I go
When all else fails
Where will I go now
Perhaps home
