This morning as I was reading “The Revolutionary Life of Freda Bedi”, by Vicki Mackenzie, there was one line that struck me and lifted my spirits.
‘May I aspire to that which is perfect within me and which already exists although I cannot see it, not because of the ego “I” wants it but so that I may help all beings’.
We take refuge in our Buddha nature. Something within.
We must be aware of what we take refuge in that’s outside of us, surely not pristine. This daily reminder that sanity is always at hand is reassuring.
