Romanced By Nature. This Poem is a memory of the summer months that I experienced last year, it is a calling to be romanced by nature. A connection that we cannot ignore.

The summer months before me,
All day out in the sun,
Stripped bare of winter essentials,
Nature and me connect more deeply,
Warm soil beneath my sock softened feet,
Silent stepping through tall grass,
The birds singing all around,
Warmth,
Oh the warmth,
Natures seduction,
The wild calling,
In these summer months,
A primal desire,
All senses engaged,
Nothing else matters,
Walking naked, on and on,
The forest path clearing,
Opening up a distant river glimmer,
Romanced by nature,
Enticed by her beauty,
She gives and gives,
An unrelenting service,
Asking nothing in return,
My pace quickens,
Feeling the waters invite,
Enlivened by this living force,
Submerged in its depths,
Connected as one,
An age old relationship,
Re-kindled through choice,
A choice that must be made,
A romance no one can live without,
Leave her waiting not a moment longer,
Adhere to her calls,
Feel her voice vibrate through your entire being,
You can feel that right?
It’s time to be,
Romanced by nature.
