Being born into a Sikh family isn’t my only reason for my interest in Seva; I’m an regular meditator too and always ask the following Soul questions before starting my meditation; Who am I?, What do I Want?, What is my Purpose/How can I Serve? What am I grateful for?
Acts of service don’t have to be literally as big as an ‘elephant’ or once in a life time acts but for me (and my family & friends) it’s about small acts, which give such a lovely warm feeling back; it really is a win win!
So, let’s start with Sunday and take the opportunity to clean; I often go to my local Sikh temple and help wash dishes after the sharing of Langar, help an elderly friend or family member just “clean up” ready for the new week ahead!
Clean up your local park, or even better set up a cleaning group to do this as a group every month, or quarter; doing Seva for the whole community couldn’t be more rewarding and you benefit too.
Sunday’s Seva for the Soul; Clean Up 👌🏼
