The world seems, to me, to be dusty and grey.
So much to do by the end of each day.
Put a smile on your face. Love all fellow man.
We know that it’s hard, but we do what we can.
Then, in walks a person who thinks he can judge.
He looks right at you and gives you a nudge.
He says, “You pretend to be someone you’re not”
‘Cause he can’t see your tears and how hard you have fought.
All that he sees is that smile on your face.
He calls you a fake. “You’re such a disgrace”
He says, “You should be what you’re feeling inside.”
Well, let me say this, “I’ve got way too much pride.”
“I won’t burden my friends with what I’ve been through.”
So, here is my smile…It’s meant just for you.
