Why Is It So Important To Be Motivated Every Day Of Our Lives?
It wasn’t so long ago when I realized that I am not going anywhere. I don’t mean it physically, but in the sense of success. My life had been the same for almost a decade, no promotions, no relationships, and literally no changes for the better. It is not that I didn’t want this to happen, it’s that I simply forgot to try.
Then I read a book that said that if you want to succeed, it is not enough to get a good degree. It isn’t enough to get to work on time or be nice to people. The trick lies in wanting things to change and improve and taking actions to do this. Apparently, it is not the skills you possess – it is the willingness to take action. In other words, it is motivation.
Motivation is an essential tool for surviving and succeeding in life. People can’t possibly live a happy life without a purpose, which is exactly what motivation is. Without the desire to achieve something, we cannot succeed in our career and our life. It is what gets us out of bed in the morning and helps us make our dreams come true.
Being motivated is being cognitive and having a sense of purpose. When our motivation connects with the purpose, it is when great things can finally happen. This is why we seek our life purposes daily and feel the rush when we find a thing that motivates us. Whether it is a motivational story or a video, a song or a painting, motivation is the invisible force that keeps us moving.
When Does Motivation Happen?
Motivation can happen at any time, day or night. It is both reason and intent for something, and it comes in many forms and strengths. Little children use it to start talking or stand up for the first time. Adults use it to get to work and get their tasks finished. Students use it to get high grades and create a great future for themselves. That being said, motivation is everywhere and anywhere, and all we have to do is find it.
In my case, motivation got me up in the morning, but only to get to my job on time and get that paycheck. It was only recently that I realized that I wanted more. Not only did I start getting up earlier, but I actually put more effort than the expected to achieve something new, something better.
How Do People Get Motivated?
People aren’t born with it. It isn’t a skill you can possess or master. However, there is still a big discrepancy from the motivation in one person and another. The reason behind this is because some can’t find the motivation, while others know perfectly well where to look.
I always thought that some people are just born lucky, and some are not. Those very successful people are the lucky ones, and we are the other kind. However, if you think about it, Oprah wasn’t really lucky when she lived poorly and was abused as a child. She was in fact, much more unfortunate than most of us. And look at where she is now. That’s how I realized that success isn’t a result of luck. It is a result of motivation and action.
If we learn where to find motivation, we can turn our ideas and goals into success. This means constant and persistent looking in everything, because it is always a different thing that motivates a different person. For some, it is music. For others, it is listening to other people’s stories. But the biggest of them all is the success.
Why do we say this?
Have you wondered why people work in the workplace? They do it to succeed in the company and get that paycheck at the end of the month. If they are motivated with awards and raises, that motive is what keeps them motivated to work hard.
That’s how people get motivated. They can use tricks and props to get some motivational boost when they feel like they need it, but the key motivation of them all is the motive, the goal they strive to get to.
Now that you know this, you might be wondering: Why do different people with the same goals succeed, while others fail?
The answer is – because they seek motivation. No matter how grand your final goal is, motivation can disappear after a failure or even a minor issue along the way. Think of all those popular people who’ve achieved greatness despite their failures. They did so because they didn’t give up and found a way to keep their motivation intact until the very end.
Here are some reasons Why Motivation is So Important
We live in today’s world because people were motivated to make it like this. They produced items and services we all use, even when others thought that it was no need in them. They solved problems that needed to be solved only because they kept trying. And they achieved all of this with nothing else but motivation.
Sure, there are skills and training that turns people into experts and helps them to do greatness, but all of these would be in vain without motivation. In addition to build yourself professionally as a person, you need motivation to be the best version of yourself. That’s the only way to achieve your goals.
Being motivated means to stop asking for permission and it doesn’t demand questions. As Jeremiah Gregory, motivational writer at cheap writing services says: ‘’Goals are the stages you reach while moving toward the achievement of your goal. Motivation is the tool you use to get there.’’
Now, let’s talk about the key reasons why motivation is so important. This is what I’ve learned and what works for me, and I’d really like to share it with you to motivate you to achieve more great things with your lives:
Motivation Pushes Us Toward Our Goals
When we are motivated, we are experiencing a desire to make a change and take action. Motivation pushes us toward the goals, no matter how big or small they are.
Motivation Helps Set Life Priorities
Once we are aware of our goals, we use motivation to prioritize. Think of it this way. If your goal is to read a book, motivation gets you to sit down and start reading, but it also makes you set time aside to do this. Basically, it guides your focus and helps you find your life priorities to get goals accomplished.
Motivation Picks Us Up After a Setback
There will hardly be any occasion in a life of a person without at least a minor setback, especially if that person is striving to achieve a grand goal. The road to success is lengthy and not always predictable, which means that sooner or later, there will be a setback.
Without motivation, we will stop at this setback and give up. And since most routes we take aren’t straight and without barriers, we will hardly achieve anything. But, when we are motivated, it is motivation that picks us up after a setback and gives us the strength to move forward.
Motivation Helps Fight Our Fears
No matter how many tricks you use to get motivation, fear can stop anyone from taking important actions. But, in the battle between motivation and fear, it is the first that wins most of the time. The more motivated we feel, the stronger is our motivation in the fight against fear. It is literally our biggest tool and weapon against our fears.
Motivation Makes Be More Self-Confident
When we feel motivated to achieve something, confidence comes as a by-product of this. All those setbacks can kill off bits of our motivation, but when motivation gets us up and keeps us moving, our self-confidence builds stronger than ever.
It is a win-win strategy. Motivated people get up after their setbacks, but they also gain confidence in the process.
Motivation Attracts People
Motivated people stand out from the crowd. They share a positive vibe and inspire the people around them. When you lack motivation, you lack courage and confidence and cannot possibly be a positive person. And we all know how great positive people are for their surrounding – they send out an energy that simply motivates others, too.
Conclusion
All the skills you possess need motivation to get you to do things and achieve goals. Motivation can function on your benefit without skills and experience, but skills and experience cannot help you succeed without motivation. Basically, this is the element that keeps everything together, which is why we need to do our best to maintain our motivation levels high to achieve all the goals we set in life. That’s exactly what I am trying to do on daily basis, and it is turning out to be great. Don’t you think that it is time for you to start doing it, too?
