Google Bike
Thanks to Google Earth and MapQuest I’ll never have to search out a friend’s house with directions like, “Take a left turn..I mean right…about five or six minutes after the big gas station…” again. But as more of us discover the eco-friendly, exercise-ready virtues of the bicycle, regular roadways just won’t cut it (half the fun of riding a bike is cutting across vacant lots and speeding by traffic jams). We recently found this site, devoted to petitioning Google to ad bike paths to their direction lexicon. Sign the petition or in the meantime, if you’re a tech-savvy cyclist, you could jump on the idea and then sell to Google for millions when they finally catch on. -HM
