Sitting on the balcony, I’ve been noticing these irises every evening down at the end of the block, already overbloomed in the early summer heat. Their fecund wiltedness in the slanted evening sun seems so indicative of the rich, lazy over-exuberance of this time of year. ~ Corey Kohn
