NO VIDEO YET Seane Corn appears on ‘elevision,’ elephant journal’s talk show at YogaRocks.

SEANE CORN ON ELEVISION LIVE FROM YOGAROCKS by Erik Vienneau, Event Director, YogaRocks ‘08
Putting together YogaRocks! Mountain Fest’, a live music and yoga weekend long festival (Aug 22 -24 Planet Bluegrass, Lyons CO) has been no easy task. But, when Seane Corn—an iconic figure on the booming US yoga scene—generously accepted our invitation, we began to really believe that this might actually be ground-breaking festival. We’re not just about doing yoga to look good and listening to music to have fun—although these are great side effects—we’re about using our practice and heart-stirring live music to connect to our intentions, and shift how we engage with our crazy world. The world can and is changing for the better—but it ain’t happenin’ “out there.” It’s an internal shift we are all experiencing together.

Seane is the perfect featured Yogi to represent what YogaRocks! is all about. She isn’t just about trotting the globe living the sweet-ass life of being an internationally known Yoga instructor - Corn is fully committed to fueling the global yoga community’s emerging movement of sacred activism. She donates her own money to help kids with AIDS and creates amazing programs like “Off the Matt into the World”. And, we’re psyched to have her.

This is where elephant journal’s elevision and its creator Waylon Lewis come in. Seane has committed to being the interviewee live from the YogaRocks! stage on Saturday evening Aug. 23 in addition to her Sunday am workshop. I can’t wait to hear her speak live. Her last video/live interview with elephant shows just how gritty, authentic and well-grounded Corn is.

She’s all about changing the world by helping people change their minds and hearts to effect the way we all see and engage with the planet. She’s not telling us to look for external change but to look within and see where we are at. And from that place to “change” the world by changing the way we see. So is elephant journal. And so is YogaRocks! Mountain Fest.

Waylon Lewis, publisher of Boulder-based Elephant Journal, has interviewed spiritual and yoga world luminaries including Robert Thurman, Lester Brown, Amy Goodman, Paul Hawken, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Alice Walker, Richard Freeman and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. Episodes have received more than 100,000 views on  elephantjournal.com, YouTube, Brightcove, Vimeo and the sites of those interviewed.

Festival Passes for YogaRocks!, which include access to 25-plus yoga workshops, 20 live music acts, camping, the film program and a free gift bag with goodies from Pangea, Lululemon and Om Time Yoga Studio and more—are now on sale. Tickets start at only $125 per day or $195 for a full-weekend pass and only $40 per day for the Camp YogaRocks! program, which includes day-long guided activities for children age 3 – 10 years old. We also just added MUSIC ONLY pass for $95.

The first 200 yogi and yoginis to purchase full weekend passes receive a free Manduka eKolite yoga mat.

  2. YogaRocks is really going to be a blissful event. Introspection, music, and being surrounded by beautiful yogis are the perfect ingredients for a summer weekend. Many thanks to the organizers for providing us with this opportunity to grow!
