Every Sunday night from 7-9:30 pm, Studio Be holds a Bhakti Kirtan. I checked it out last week. The singing was very energizing and the community was beautiful. For those not familiar with kirtan, it is call and respond chanting from the Hindu tradition of India. The heart is opened by singing with love. Although the songs revolve around Hindu dieties, they are symbolic and the practice is more or less non-denominational.

Kirtan is a wonderful time! Pray with community, sing beautiful harmonies, and be entranced by the Indian instruments like the tablas and harmonium. And Studio Be is indeed a nice space for this Kirtan.
