Sushi twice a Day will just about Kill You. [Piven, Entourage, Mercury Poisoning]

Entourage star Jeremy Piven just got deathly ill, and had to leave his Broadway show. Why? We’ve poisoned our fish, and now fish are poisoning us. Can’t say we didn’t tell you so. Repeatedly.

Dr. Colker said that an initial battery of tests on Mr. Piven had shown normal results. But after Mr. Piven said he was a frequent sushi eater who consumed fish about twice a day…Dr. Colker tested him for heavy metals.

Dr. Colker said that these tests revealed “a very, very elevated level of mercury” in Mr. Piven’s blood, adding that it was five to six times the upper limit that is typically measured. Left untreated, Dr. Colker said, the condition could result in heart problems, cognitive problems, renal failure and, in very extreme cases, death.

And here’s an amateur little video blog vlog I did with friend Lina Plioplyte (who’s behind the laptop telling me to look at the little camera) at Burnt Toast nearly..two years ago. Back before I’d done any live elevision talk shows, or had amazing videographers working with me. How time flies.

Man that is depressing. Thanks a lot. I had no idea about the whole mercury thing. I guess when I really think about it, the thing I like about sushi is the whole soy sauce/wasabi thing. I don’t think I’ve ever been like,’my what a zesty tuna!’ So maybe just doing veggie sushi isn’t that big a deal.

    soy sauce? wasabi?

Man Shamma, you are missing out!!
