Uh-oh: Will Smith gets all Law of Attraction, Power of Positive Thinking on us. Videos.

will smith positive thinking

We knew Will Smith was too well-adjusted, too always-cheerful…he had to have a DVD of The Secret hidden in his bedside table’s drawer.

Another one bites the New Agey fairy-dust. Our thoughts are physical! Okay, okay, this happy-happy talk is great as long as it’s not (Secret!) wedded to materialism. If it’s about being of benefit to others, not just oneself, well…God Bless—Will Smith is an example of success—and more importantly of being a good, fun, caring man who enjoys his life.

  1. Evan Ravitz says:

Positive thinking is fine to a point, but it’s also the method of con artists from Mesmer to Bernie Madoff. They look you in the eye and think “he’s gonna believe me” and you might! You might also believe that posting “affirmations” on your walls will make you rich. There was a columnist for Colorado’s Nexus Magazine who constantly wrote on such subjects, and then died in a double suicide when real legal troubles caught up with her and her boyfriend.

I believe in magic, but I know that our fossil-foolish ways can destroy all our dreams. Feel cosmic energy, but don’t suck physical energy the earth can’t sustain. For example, Einstein, who knew something about energy, thought cars were obscenely consumptive. He thought cars should have engines the size of lawn mowers. If they did, cities would have pretty good air, vanishingly few traffic accidents would be fatal, and global warming would be far less.

  2. [...] We already knew Will Smith, who is loveable, isn’t loved in Ireland so much anymore—and for good reason. We also knew that he loves the Law of Attraction, or whatever. [...]

  3. You could certainly see your enthusiasm in the paintings you write. The sector hopes for more passionate writers such as you who aren’t afraid to mention how they believe. Always follow your heart.

  4. What i don’t understood is in reality how you’re no longer really much more neatly-liked than you might be right now. You are so intelligent. You realize thus significantly in the case of this matter, produced me in my view consider it from so many various angles. Its like men and women don’t seem to be fascinated unless it is one thing to accomplish with Lady gaga! Your personal stuffs excellent. Always take care of it up!
