Needles for Beauty: Constitutional Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture

For centuries acupuncture and traditional Chinese Medicine have been used to treat illness and promote health and wellness. Today, acupuncture continues to be known for its healing capabilities through restoring and balancing energy flow throughout the body. However, what most people may be unaware of is that acupuncture is also used to prevent aging through a facial acupuncture procedure known as Constitutional Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture. Does this mean needles are placed in your face? In Chinese medical theory when Qi, or life force energy, flows freely throughout the body, blood circulation can effectively carry nutrients to the internal organs and to the skin, reflecting bright, vibrant skin tone free of under eye dark circles, redness and puffiness. It seems pretty amazing that tiny needles can reverse years of wear, sun damage, pollution, unhealthy lifestyle practices, etc.,; however, like any alternative wellness treatment, the positive results of Constitutional Facial Acupuncture are seen after successive treatments, most typically a series of 10 weekly or semi-weekly visits. While you will leave Lorita’s practice feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, it will take more than one treatment to visibly correct signs of aging and prevent future wrinkles. Although multiple appointments are required to achieve visible results, each visit is an opportunity to relax, calm the mind and revitalize, as each treatment not only consists of the acupuncture treatment, but is accompanied by an herbal facemask and an herbal “crème vital” treatment, infusing the skin with essential oils and calming the spirit with soothing aromatherapy.

While Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is not an inexpensive endeavor, the price of the treatment is well below conventional medical spa procedures and surgeries. Personally, if I am going to spend money on aesthetics, I choose to promote the alternative.
