Waylon Lewis interviews Sister Helen Prejean, woman behind Dead Man Walking, at Naropa.

I’m interviewing Sister Helen Prejean today over at Naropa University with Mito Media, for elephantjournal.com, Huffington Post, and Mallika Chopra’s Intent.com, where I’m starting a new column in the short-term. Sister Helen, a Catholic nun, is best-selling author of Dead Man Walking, on which the Oscar-winning movie was based (Susan Sarandon played Sister Helen). We’ll talk about forgiveness (a notion I still don’t get) and the death penalty…about true Christianity and the importance of mercy.

A new season of elephant journal’s Walk the Talk Show: Last year, our talk show season lasted 9 months. This year, it’ll be five months—four videos a month, on average, from May through September, with some random videos in the winter of 09/10. This will be the first since my new video for elephantjournal.com with Dr. Andrew Weil in Denver.
