elephantjournal.com reviews: Sambazon Smoothie Packs.

Healthy + Yummy

~review via Katiya Slivinskaya

Sambazon stands for “sustainable management of the Brazilian Amazon,” and it lives up to its name, making the 60-foot-tall palm trees that produce their miracle product more valuable standing than cut down.  It helps that the basis for all their stuff is dark purple berry that tastes as intriguing as it is potently nutritious.  I like to get mine in their handy smoothie packs, toss ’em with granola and bananas and voila—a breakfast replete with 20 vitamins and minerals plus fatty acids and antioxidants.  My hope is that they’ll discover an eco packaging up to the task, making my date with this irresistible healthy dessert that much more satisfying.
