I live on University Hill, infamous home of the couch-burning/earth-loving/number-one-party-school in America infamous University of Colorado Buffs.
But on most nights I and all my neighbors “get” to hear St. Julien Hotel’s band of the night, lyrics included, wafting (nay, thumping) over our heads and through our ears. The red cup parties on the Hill, while obnoxiously and thoughtlessly loud at times, are far more seldom. Most students are respectful of their neighbors, or at least try to be until they’ve had one too many.
What’s the solution? If St. Julien wanted to remove their unwanted broadcast from the air, they could build a wall, plant more trees, and otherwise block the sound-projected amphitheater that their backyard patio party and dance area creates.
