Barton apologies to BP. ~ Jon Stewart.

The ranking Republican on the House Energy and Commerce Committee apologizes to BP for President Obama’s “Shakedown.”

“Keep in mind, this guy was in charge of the Energy and Commerce Committee before the Democrats won the House majority in 2006. And should Republicans retake that majority, he’ll likely be the chairman again.” ~ Mother Jones

Most of this video, while funny—painfully so—is, a la the best of Jon Stewart, all true. None of the leading oil companies had a plan in case of oil spill. One of their leading emergency contacts had been dead for five years, even. Enjoy:
