As I See It: A Poem.

In fragile times of great unrest

When crimes profuse in moral protest

And hostility ensues, while civility arrest

I emplore compassion with fervent behest.

We point away to shift the blame

Our echoed retort of disjointed shame

Ah, yet apathy doth fuel the flame

Yes, we alone perpetuate This. Sad. Game.

“If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito.”
~ His Holiness Dalai Lama
