Review: Annie O’s Belts and Bags. ~ Linda Lewis

Socially Responsible Designs

Annie O’s belts and bags are like embroidered jewel work.  They are hand-crafted in Peru and support a women’s cooperative there. Annie O. works directly with these women to create modern accessories, and the belts and clutch bags use bright traditional designs — for example, cheerful pink flowers on turquoise, or multicolored flowers on a brown background — and all for a good cause!  So feel stylish and distinctive while helping other women in the Southern Hemisphere!

Linda Lewis met the Vidyadhara Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche in 1972 and immediately moved to Boulder, Colorado to be a part of his young and vital sangha. The predominant themes in her life have been teaching in contemplative schools–Vidya, Naropa, and the Shambhala School in Halifax, Nova Scotia–and studying, practicing, or teaching his Shambhala Buddhadharma wherever she finds herself.
