Mommy Daddy Plllllease!? Plllllleasse?!

Via on Oct 19, 2010

“This outtake from ‘The Corporation’ shows an interview with Lucy Hughes, explaining the rationale for marketers to manipulate children to nag their parents to influence purchasing decisions.”

Generation Diabetes. Toys with Fast Food. Where’s the Corporate Conscience?

Corporations are actively studying how to more efficiently manipulate children, and through them, access their parents’ wallets. Surprised? Me, neither.

With thanks for the tip to Alex Bogusky.

diana, this video was terrifying. i cant imagine what kind of person loses so much focus on humanity that they execute a research project to figure out how to get children to nag their parents for more crap. what is wrong with these people?

  2. diana says:

P.S. I don't have any kids – not even bratty ones.

  3. As a mother, with try-to-nag-me kids, you know what I say, is NO… We started this concept pretty early on. It's really quite effective…
