A Yoga-Inspired Easter Sermon?

Om Shanti and Jesus Lives?

That was the Easter message that was delivered at Boulder’s Wesley Chapel.  We started the Mosaic Gospel Choir last year and it may be the only inter-faith Gospel choir in history.  Comprised of Christians, Buddhists, and neo-pagans in roughly equal thirds, the choir performs as part of a worship service near the end of the fall and spring semesters.

The choir is directed by musician extraordinaire, Gary Grundei, who teaches music at Naropa University.  We meet on Wednesday nights at 7PM at Wesley Chapel during the Fall and Spring semesters.  Feel free to contact us at webmaster at wesleyf dot org if you’d like to join us!

I’m blessed to be the pastor/chaplain for this campus ministry and to sing in the choir too.

As part of these special services that feature our Gospel choir, I also preach messages/sermons that tend to be a bit non-traditional.

I called this one, “Bound and Busted to Free in Faith.”

We sang sang about 9 songs & the message was delivered just before last song; i.e., right after singing Bob Dylan’s I Shall be Released, and an Om Shanti kirtan chant, “Verse on Reality.”

Here’s a link to that song:

And here’s the message:

… live people, live.

Namaste happens.  Happy Easter.
