What we want from a safari.
My last several posts for elephant journal have generated a fair amount Internet bashing.
First, I wrote about the time I should have died—someone called me a wiener and said that I wouldn’t last one day in Chicago (I lived there for six years). Next, we publish an April Fool’s joke about Waylon going hunting—I guess making fun of the culture of hunting = wrong (but needs to be done), but poking fun of Buddhism = no response (which I find weird).
Lastly, on Wednesday, I published an article about the beauty in death, and watching an elephant die. This caught me tons and tons of flack.
Truthfully, I don’t understand why there is so much animosity that is directed at the writers on the site. I understand that we do get one hate-filled comment for every ten self-esteem boosters. Thankfully, I have supporters like Ben Riggs, who came to my rescue and defended the idea that death can be inspiring.
To avoid any backlash, I intend this article to show the extreme beauty of Kenya. Hopefully you will enjoy these HD photos of endangered, majestic, and peaceful animals and their environment.

Nature is wonderful. I don’t care if that makes people angry. The world still rules.
