The secrets of success according to a, what, five year old boy!
“If you believe in yourself then you will know how to ride a bike! If you do not believe in yourself, you will learn!”
In a cynical, selfish society that trains its children in the art of fear and vanity and speed and lying, one boy and his father rose up and taught us all a merry, mini-Braveheart lesson.
There are countless great youtube comments…”I’m going to watch this before every exam I take” or “This video was a substitute for coffee” or “The euphoria brought on by overcoming an obstacle is palpable in this footage” or “coach taylor ain’t got nothin on this kid!” or “baby braveheart” or “the future king of human people” or “i dare you to watch this video and not smile” or “Somebody cut this into Bill Pullman’s speech at the end of Independence Day…”)…here’s my fave classic simple comment:
IF YOU KEEP PRACTISING YOU WILL:
a.) KNOW HOW TO WIDE A BIKE
b.) GET BETTER-N-BETTER AT IT
d.) ALL OF THE ABOVE FOR ROCK-N_ROLL!
