Total cost of Bush’s new policies: $5 trillion. Total cost of Obama’s new policies: $1.4 trillion.

Not just great because we can meet our responsibilities…great because we can still come together as a nation in times of crisis.

I just contacted Polis' office today asking perhaps an obvious question (he is the or one of the wealthiest members of congress and voted to expend the bush era tax cuts): "why do you not support the plan addressed here for spending cuts and taxes for the rich/corporations, rather insist on spending cuts, internet gambling, and marijuana to fill the void?" The phone was busy and the official website down, but was able to post to his Facebook page. Finally got through. They said they'd get back to me. Any thoughts, Ele?

  4. Shared! Tried to call but the VM box was full. Sent an email. The suspense is killing me.

Here's a list of the representatives in Congress who are refusing to raise the debt ceiling, and holding the economy (and our future) hostage on behalf of the wealthy and their corporations.

The White House servers are at this time down – so Call. If the D.C. Phone lines are jammed or down, google the representative's district office phone numbers and call that.

Some of these people have Twitter – find them.

If you have a fax machine – use it.

Below I've chased down some of the contact information from Ohio and Florida representatives – as swing-state representatives facing difficult elections, it may be easier to scare them into changing direction.

If you only have the time to call a couple of people, don't start at the top of the list – mix it up. We need to show power through numbers.

They are predicted to start making major votes on this issue tomorrow. Call today.
