Eight bucks a gallon? Half the world already pays it—and yet their economies still hum along. Pay that for gas you’d see more efficient vehicles, and less use—more walking, bicycling, less obesity, more local food, less pollution, less asthma.
Still, as long as politicians don’t get the support they need to push back against the opposition and lobbyists, this’ll be a pipe dream.
