    The article this is based on was poorly researched. I thought that this would be a great opportunity to talk about the chemistry of these broccoli compounds, how the breeding works, and debunk Bellatti's claims about it. You can read it on Biofortified here: http://www.biofortified.org/2011/10/busting-bella… The biggest surprise to me was that he is contradicting what appears to be his own nutritional philosophy while trying to dismiss this variety. And just to be clear, folks, no I do not work for Monsanto.

    Karl is everywhere defending this stuff–overlooking the fact that the humor is simply based on the claim "Beneforte will maintain your body's defenses against environmental pollution…" from a company responsible for soooo much env pollution.
