Andy Rooney was primarily known as a humorist who could turn the most mundane subjects into comic gold. Yet some of his most memorable commentaries were very serious, including this 2005 Memorial Day piece. Andy, a World War II veteran himself, honors the memory of some of his childhood friends who died in the war.
