This year I left my job of 13 years in tourism and studied Osho Rebalancing deep tissue massage. It was a big leap from me to go from a job that kept me very in my head to a practice that starts in your own body and heals another. The training has been experiential in the most part with intense 3-day workshops followed by a month of self practice. One of the things that has been most interesting is how I have related to practicing on my friends and family. Its not as easy as one might expect. Knowing so much about people that you are treating can be a hindrance rather than a help sometimes as you are not observing impartially but watching through the filter of all you already know and feel about that person.
I have really enjoyed learning something new, not only because filling my brain with fresh information was extremely invigorating, but because I have adopted a healing modality that will stay with me forever. The process of rebalancing can be life changing and I am looking forward to sharing it.
