Olivia exposes the intense suffering of animals on fur farms in this shocking video. Find out where fur really originates and who’s really paying the ultimate price for it. Learn more: http://on.fb.me/xYJbT1

China, the world’s largest exporter of fur.

“Who needs fur to feel beautiful?” Olivia asks in the sexy ad, which was shot by top photographer Emily Shur. In her shocking undercover video exposé, Olivia explains that on fur farms in China, there are no penalties for cramming minks, raccoons, rabbits, foxes, and even cats and dogs into tiny cages and then bludgeoning, suffocating, strangling, or electrocuting them—or even skinning them alive—in order to turn their pelts into fur coats, trim, and trinkets.

Olivia reminds us that when it comes to violence on fur farms, “There’s nothing good about pretending like you don’t know.”

Many years ago the natives had to stay warm! …… They did not have MAN MADE clothing! Yes it is a bad ! Sorry!

    • Maria says:

From what I learned about the natives, particularly in many Native American cultures, the animals are honored before they are killed and used for everything that they contributed : food, clothing, survival… BUT — not tortured like this. I can't understand why people would want to treat animals like this.

    • Ashley says:

Maria is correct. No native tribes in recorded history treated animals this way. When animals were killed, the gods and animals were honored for the sacrifice, and nothing went to waste. They were not skinned alive and thrown in a pile with meat and bones laid to waste. Everything was used, honored, and appreciated.

haven't seen the video, I disagree with PETA on so many levels. (also seen plenty of evidence of Peta being involved in animal cruelty)
Also, fur is not fur. If you live in the city, if you want a fancy fur for vanity, yes avoid fur. but if you live in areas like Alaska or the Yukon and your culture includes hunting cariboo or polar bear, please use the entire animal: meat AND fur. the best way to keep people warm in those areas for virtually free because fur is a by-product.

    • Maria says:

Yes, absolutely. Using the entire animal is practical for those living in that culture.
But that video is horrifying – animals skinned alive? Why?? You can't stop vain people from wanting fur, but I bet that if they saw the torture and senseless cruelty inflicted on these animals, they would think twice.

  5. Dina says:

Last comment from 'Guest' is fullish… Video about China exporting fur to entire world not to Alaska… This Video about million poor souls suffering… This Video about COMPASSION. On which level PETA is not up to your standarts "guest"?

  6. Ashley says:

This absolutely breaks my heart. Skin to death? Ugh….

  7. Suzanne Carlson says:

Olivia Munn is beautiful inside and out. She could go about her business, but she takes time out of a thriving career to take a stand for animals. She has fought hard for elephants who are beaten into submission with bullhooks at the Ringling Bros. Circus, and now this piece rightfully condemning those selfish enough to support the hideously cruel fur industry.

  8. Lucy P says:

Go Olivia! People need to be reminded that fur is ripped from the bodies of animals who have feelings, eyes, and hearts just as we do. Often the animals are still alive when they are skinned. With so many gorgeous fake furs and warm, high performance synthetics, there is no excuse to continue killing animals for their fur.
