Violin Guy & Koan Nr. 12.

The Koan: Zuigan Calls Himself “Master” goes something like this…

Every day Zuigan used to call out to himself, “Master?” He would respond, “Yes?” He would then ask himself, “Are you awake?” and would answer “Yes.” He would then ask, “Are you really awake? Don’t be fooled, not now, not ever.”
A man sat in DC metro during rush hour and started to play the violin. He played six Bach pieces for 45 minutes on a violin worth $3.5 million dollars. Who stopped to notice it was Joshua Bell, one of the most known violinists?

Stop and hear the music. Are you awake? Are you really awake?            Don’t be fooled, not now, not ever.
