Walk the Talk Show with Waylon Lewis:
“Meditation is not about suppression…it’s about creating space.”
Waylon talks with Frank Berliner about how meditation can help the everyday person and not just the ponytailed guru on the mountaintop:
In the second segment, Frank discusses his new memoir, Falling in Love with the Buddha recalls his experiences with Chogyam Trungpa (we apologize for the typo in the video, we’re just getting started with a new crew), his spiritual teacher and an major influence for many American Buddhists.
Frank Berliner is a Professor of Contemplative Psychology at Naropa University, where he has taught both Buddhist and Western Existential psychology and the practice of meditation to BA and MA students, for the past 17 years. He has studied and practiced meditation for 38 years as a close student of Chogyam Trungpa. Over a twelve-year period he served as national director of Shambhala Training, and executive director and resident teacher of the Berkeley Shambhala Center.
