A few things I have learned:
Keep it light and fun. Don’t be an alignment Nazi.
Stay away from poses that bear weight on the head and neck
Allow for spontaneous conversations to happen. Kids are curious and will ask questions.
Kids’ attention will wax and wane during class. This is totally okay.
Kids love apparatus. Give them poses that will allow them to use whatever equipment you have on hand with supervision.
Always use the compliment sandwich. Say two positive things about their practice for every correction you make.
Please add you own wisdom and experience to this list. Thank you.
