Most of us have no problem noticing when things are going wrong.
Spend five minutes on Facebook and you’ll notice half of your newsfeed with some complaint or other. It’s okay. It’s good to be real about the current state of things. Not everything is “all good” all the time.
But you know what? I think we tend to miss the good stuff sometimes.
Right this second it’s hot—pushing 100 degrees. The sun on my skin feels incredible. The smell of the grass, the sound of the mockingbird in the tree next to me, the sound of a train in the distance: all of it is delicious. All of it makes me happy, if I take a minute to notice.
Take five minutes and notice your happiness.
