My life moves at a crazy, breakneck speed.
Moments whirl past me, almost unrecognizably.
The chaos makes my heart flutter and my pulse race.
My mind is scattered and unsettled.
I pace and sigh…
The anxiety builds.
I want to hide.
Curl up into a ball and disappear.
Don’t talk, don’t try to help.
I want to scream and cry forever.
I step onto my mat.
The smell evokes calmness.
My breath slows, my thoughts quiet.
I am home.
I focus inward as I move through my practice,
First slowly then more vigorously.
I sweat and breathe.
Somewhere along the way the universe slows down.
I am part of it.
I am not this crazy separate thing.
I am everything.
