Lately, I have been obsessed with horoscopes.
I check mine from multiple sources each and every morning without fail and find that with that knowledge, there is little surprise as to how the day unfolds. It has an uncanny ability to be spot on, absolutely and often times unapologetically correct. The good, the bad and everything in between, it seems I am a Leo in full.
And I know that I’m not alone—friends upon friends have disclosed their astonishment in the accuracy of their sign’s predictions, advice and overall outlook, especially in the past few months. I don’t know if the writers are getting better, the stars are truly aligning or we are all becoming way too cliché, but either way I’d say it’s good to listen from time to time.
I like to focus on the positive possibilities and how I can use my strengths to make them a reality—makes it all worthwhile in my book—which is how I decided to write my own, by combining my personal thoughts, research from a few already-written predictions and that of the well-known personality types.
Now I’m no expert, but here are my tips to own this month’s forecast in your astrological arena.
Aries (March 21 – April 19): Focus on You. This is a time to indulge fully in your own well-being and build on that already superior self-confidence. You are enthusiastic in nature, and it’s important to maintain that excitement in treating yourself this month—block outside stress and do what it is that truly makes you happy, regardless of your commitments. Make you a priority.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Get Creative. You will thrive this autumn if you pay your creative side a little visit. Beat the blues at work or with significant others by devoting yourself to a project that makes your heart smile. Try to fight that urge to be practical and show the world what you’re made of, whether it is art or music or performance or simply being you—your quirks and new ideas will leave you feeling satisfied and fulfilled.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Look to the Future. There are incredible things coming in the near future, Gemini, and your ability to adapt in the present will set the building blocks for big success. Keep this in mind, as these days ahead may not be as distant as you might think. Be curious, as always, in your search for ways to get where you are undoubtedly going.
Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Give in to Passion. Love, romance, sensuality—all words that should and will be part of your vocabulary as the leaves begin to fall. You are fierce and emotional, and these traits will prove invaluable when embarking on a roller coaster ride of adventure in your relationships. Don’t hesitate—fall hard and deep and worry about picking yourself up at a later date, for this is the time to love without boundaries.
Leo (July 23 – August 22): Charm Them All. This is no surprise. You are no rookie to taking center stage in a crowded room, and September marks the month where your pride and effortless capability to shine are nothing but beneficial. Close ties with romantic partners, family and friends should be the center of your efforts—the sky’s the limit when it comes to charm.
Virgo (August 23 – September 22): Take Charge. It’s a good thing you are so hard working and determined, Virgo, because this is your time to make head way at work. Stand your ground and make your mark—you are a force to be reckoned with and will be recognized for your unwavering dedication if you stick to your guns.
Libra (September 23 – October 22): Get Away. This is the perfect time for a vacation—who doesn’t want to hear that? The world is begging you, pleading you to get out and explore. Take a break from the complications of everyday life and plan a trip where you can use your social skills to meet people and become inspired.
Scorpio (October 23 – November 21): Work, Work, Work. All work and no play? Maybe not what most desire, but you are just too damn good at it to give up now. Keep being resourceful in the office, pay your dues and stay the extra hours for a project you are passionate about. The result—you are bound to make leaps of progress in your career.
Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21): Go with the Flow. Your relaxed sense of style is just what the doctor ordered for this month’s obvious stressors. Take your time, meditate, laugh until you cry every chance you get. Do whatever it is that keeps you grounded, be ready for the unexpected and appreciate what life throws your way—unpredictability can be a breath of fresh air from your routine.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 19): Practice Compassion. You will be in high demand, Capricorn. Family and friends will need the responsible, in control listener in you more than ever, and if you remember to stay patient and sympathetic you will feel better than you have in a long time.
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18): Say Yes. Say yes to anything and everything. New opportunities, encounters and acquantiances will be full of good fortune, and you won’t want to miss out on a single proposal. Your independence is quite the attraction for most, and you will be impressing with every never-before-experienced endeavor you embark on.
Pisces (February 19 – March 20): Follow Your Heart. Logic has never been your chosen method of thinking when it comes to love, and this fall is no different. You have always been intuitive—not with your head, but with you heart. It is there that you are wise beyond your years, so look to your favorite companion for inspiration and enjoy the ride.
An aspiring writer, fashion enthusiast and lover of all things yoga, dance and green, Jamie recently ended a far-too-short glimpse of the world spending her days as an English teacher and soul-searcher in Madrid, Spain. She is completely fascinated by languages and cultures and won’t be satisfied until she’s seen it all. And so it begins.
