    That explains everything, all the hate. I knew there had to be a family member who happened to be gay.

  2. That he is an atheist doesn't surprise me. How could anyone believe in the god of Fred Phelps? I recall previously seeing a small little girl in their congregation being taught to sing the words to their theme song: "God Hates the World." A total blight on the Christian Gospel. Mr. Phelps justifies this by saying that John 3:16 is spoken in past tense (For God so loved . . . ) and that presently God is so horrified by homosexuals being permitted to breath the same air as the rest of us that he now hates the world. Perhaps the good reverend has never read the words of the Psalmist that "His love endures to ALL generations."
