The Lover Card. {A Poem}

Lover,

watch

as I cast my web of emotion

a spindly matrix

of volatile vibe

that draws me further in.

Don’t shush me

Don’t insult me

Because this would be you

sloppy scared

foolishly deadening

the Goddess.

Allow the space to fill

with creep and unease

mad

sad

elation

and overwhelm droplets

teetering as beads on transparent thread.

Watch me weave

and sanctify

the beacon you too

call home

for the moment.

Until

as my eternal witness

you play the card I gifted you

A flash of no eye

A wink

that says you see me

believing

my web is all there is.

That cut in gaze will redirect

I will spin another room

A space without attachment

A place big enough for

you

me

the universe

And beyond.

Lover

allow me to be

until I think I’m less than any other

possibility.

This

is

all

I

ask

of

you.
