Think You Can’t Make it as an Artist? Look Here. {Photos}

By his own account, Kyle Thompson is shy.

In fact, he is so shy that when he first got into photography 6 years ago, he decided to stick with taking self-portraits because he was too shy to ask others to model.

After spending countless hours and even days taking photos of himself in abandoned buildings, deserted fields, and vast forests, Thompson decided to post some of his best photos on Reddit.

While he thought they were good, he never dreamed he could make a living as professional photographer.

He was wrong.

His photos on Reddit alone got over 4 million views, and he was able to quit his job as a pizza delivery man and work full-time as a photographer.

As someone who often wishes she could make it as an artist but feels she lacks the talent and guts,  I want to say, “Thank you, Kyle Thompson. You are a true inspiration.”
