Pharrell Williams’s ‘Happy’ Performed in Sign Language. {Video}

screen-shot-2014-08-19-at-7.25.26-pm

I have to admit something.

I’ve never been personally drawn into the whole Pharrell-Williams-Happy-Phenomenon Thing.

There, I said it.

So imagine my complete surprise when I saw this headline floating around, that ‘Happy’ was turned into a popular video with ASL interpretation, and that this joyful rendition truly made me smile and finally “get” the whole ‘Happy’ craze.

Actually, what’s so inspiring about this video is that it’s filmed by the kids from Deaf Film Camp at upstate New York’s Camp Mark Seven. And if you find yourself wondering why it looks so professional, it’s because Deaf Film Camp teaches screenwriting, directing, acting, effects and cinematography to the campers.

You know what? Just watch this and see if you can’t help but grin.
