I will not pray for Paris today.

My whole life is a prayer for humanity—

Every day, I pray for the beauty of the world

to be realized in every single being.

Every day I pray for every single cell of my body

to open up and allow Life to flow through it.

And it’s not even a prayer—

I call it simply life.

With every single breath I take,

I breathe in suffering—

In Egypt

Syria

Ukraine

Africa

China

North Korea

India

Indonesia

America

Baghdad

Beirut

Ireland

Czech Republic

Sicily

Slaughter houses

Animal shelters

Children with sh*tty parents

Ignorance that leads to war

Greed

Fear

Righteousness

Ignorance in the dull spots of my own heart

I breathe it in—all of it,

And with every breath I take—I pray.

The breath is my prayer—

My life is the prayer.

I will not pray for this or that,

I hold it all at once,

I see the connections between circumstances,

I see my role in it all.

No, I will not pray for Paris,

I will breathe for it and all

today and

every day

and forever.
