Candidate must:
• Be an organized, self-motivated problem-solver
• Take direction well and work collaboratively with team members

Position starts at $15/hour, minimum 20 hours a week, ideally full-time if jumping into other areas of elephant (ideally, we are looking for someone to help with video hosting, editing and social media).

Job Responsibilities:
• Pack and ship books, hats, mugs, totes, tees and other mindful, eco goodies
• Put together bookmarks
• Maintain adequate number of prepped books
• Check daily orders via Amazon & Elephant Market
• Reorder packing supplies as needed
• Check shop and book emails for customer service issues–communicate with customers as needed
• Online shop maintenance (item descriptions, out of stock, etc) as needed
• Inventory counts
• Good archival skills for order saves, tracking shipments
• Following up with post office on pickups and deliveries to post office as needed
• Book returns
• Timeliness: internal and customer communication
• Being mindful about each and every item we ship
• Possibility {if interest and skills are there} to create social media campaigns or marketing plans or assist in setting up book readings or scheduling an indie book tour

You will report to our Shop Manager.

Hours are flexible though need to work with our Shop Manager’s schedule. Position will include some nights and weekends. Some of the work can be done remotely.

Editor & Social Media: If you have a passion for words, an incoherent hatred for typos, meticulous organizational skills and follow-through, comfortable with deadlines, have excellent written communication skills, you might be a fit in our editorial department.
